2017 Kerry Photography Workshops
October 13th – 15th, 2017 (Only 3 places left, Extra Day SOLD OUT)
led by Athena Carey and John Dunne
This workshop will take you to the famous Iveragh peninsula in County Kerry, the largest peninsula in Ireland and one of it’s most popular tourist locations. Among it’s many gems are Ireland’s highest mountain, islands and light houses, waterfalls, castles, ring forts, churches and an abundance of ruins.
We will aim to shoot a sample of it all. In each location we will be there to help you find the best angles from which to shoot and if you desire, to aid you in your photographic decisions, from composition to lens choices, shutter speeds to filters. The level of help you receive is entirely up to you.
This workshop is intended for all photographers, regardless of skill level or equipment.
Your workshop leaders will be Athena Carey and John Dunne, two international award-winning photographers who have lead workshops and courses around the world with a wide range of participants – young and old, experienced and beginning photographers. Travel with them to discover and photograph the Iveragh peninsula of County Kerry in Ireland.

“My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of attending a Copper Coast Ireland Workshop with Athena and John. I had taken an online course taught by Athena so it was a great pleasure to meet her in person. John and Athena have great teaching skills and take a true interest in helping to raise your photography knowledge or letting you roam freely if that is your choice. Both are engaging and fun to be around. Meals were always entertaining. The photography locations were well researched and when I came home to Montana I was enthused with new energy and ideas.
Thanks again Athena and John!”
“A big thanks to Athena and John from Light Land and Sea for a great weekend of long exposure photography at the Copper Coast Waterford. Over the weekend we visited some fantastic coves along the copper coast which were excellent for long exposure photography. The weather was in our favour, the people were friendly and extremely pleasant. The workshop was certainly insightful and resulted in some excellent imagery.
I hope to meet you on the North Coast workshop someday!”
