Due to the popularity of these workshops this year we are delighted to offer two more dates in 2017. Come join us to shoot this beautiful seaside location.
March 10th – 12th, 2017
October 20th – 22nd, 2017
The Copper Coast is a diverse geological area in southern Ireland that is named for the historic metal mining industry of the area. It is peppered with ruins of times past, glorious cliffs falling into the Celtic Sea and beautiful sea stacks.
On these two day photography workshop, we will take you around the area to shoot a bit of it all. In each location we will be there to help you find the best angles from which to shoot and if you desire, to aid you in your photographic decisions, from composition to lens choices, shutter speeds to filters. The level of help you receive is entirely up to you.
All levels of photographer are catered for, with two workshops of no more than 10 participants.
Here’s what some of our participants have to say.

“My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of attending a Copper Coast Ireland Workshop with Athena and John. I had taken an online course taught by Athena so it was a great pleasure to meet her in person. John and Athena have great teaching skills and take a true interest in helping to raise your photography knowledge or letting you roam freely if that is your choice. Both are engaging and fun to be around. Meals were always entertaining. The photography locations were well researched and when I came home to Montana I was enthused with new energy and ideas.
Thanks again Athena and John!”

“A big thanks to Athena and John from Light Land and Sea for a great weekend of long exposure photography at the Copper Coast Waterford. Over the weekend we visited some fantastic coves along the copper coast which were excellent for long exposure photography. The weather was in our favour, the people were friendly and extremely pleasant. The workshop was certainly insightful and resulted in some excellent imagery.
I hope to meet you on the North Coast workshop someday!”
